The precautions and common causes of ceramic pump failure

Ceramic pump is a common device of industry. It has the characteristics of good wear resistance, compact structure, convenient installation and maintenance, reliable performance, etc. It is inevitable that any device will malfunction after a long period of use. Next, we will talk about the precautions and common causes.

Please pay attention to the following points when using ceramic pumps:

1.Before starting the ceramic pump, use hand to rotate the coupling to check whether it is normal.

2.The inlet pipe and the pump must be filled with drainage fluid, and they can operate normally only when there is no air.

3.When there is no drainage fluid in the ceramic pump or there is no flow at the outlet, it cannot be idling for a long time.

4.The inlet valve cannot be used to adjust the flow of the ceramic pump to avoid cavitation.

5.In cold areas, after stopping the ceramic pump, the pump body should be prevented from freezing.

Common causes of failure

1.Ceramic pumps do not pump out liquid; the flow rate and head of the ceramic pump are obviously inconsistent.

(1) The air in the ceramic pump body or the inlet pipe is not exhausted.

(2) The air leakage occurs at the connection of the ceramic pump cover or the inlet pipe.

(3) The liquid height of suction or extrusion is too high.

(4) The inlet and outlet pipes are too long; the pipe diameter is too small or the valve malfunctions.

(5) The rotation direction or speed of the motor is wrong. Or the viscosity of the medium is too high.

2.Vibration and abnormal noise

(1) Uneven foundation or loose bolts.

(2) The shaft seal parts are not installed correctly.

(3) The outlet pressure is too high.

3.The shaft seal is hot, or it steams or leaks seriously.

(1) Excessive outlet pressure

(2) The shaft seal parts are not installed correctly.

4.Cavitation

5.The abrasion because of granular media

6.Mechanical wear

7.Medium corrosion

8.Fatigue damage
